Parent Engaging Network will be hosting Dr. Wear as their guest speaker on turning our worst childhood traumas into profound spiritual power and the ability to heal.
In the discussion, she shares her own childhood experience with abuse and how she overcame the sense of deep shame and unworthiness by learning to trust her own life.
We will discuss the role of toxic shame in preventing us to reach our full potential. We will learn how our worst trauma can actually catapult us to reaching our highest human potential. In fact, these challenges are necessary to develop compassion and the rewarding and selfless role of a catalyst, transforming the lives of our children from a sense of anxiety and uncertainty to empowered human beings.

February 27: Softening Toxicity in the Workplace
Many healthcare settings are wrought with stress and dysfunction. Frequently sabotage and aggression is the response to highly stressful situations in a healthcare setting which undermines morale and negatively affects patient care. How did we get here?
This is an empowering workshop that explores the dynamics of contention that frequently arise in clinical situation. We delve into our own self-defeating tendencies and practice ways of creating a kinder work environment based on mutual respect and a spirit of cooperation.
Proven techniques will be explored and taught to lead to opening our hearts even in the most challenging of situations. We will learn techniques on how to show up for our patients and colleagues with soften the common goal of alleviating suffering for our patients and supporting each other.
Given the increased anxiety over the current political climate, this two day workshop in Boulder, Colorado is being offered at a discounted rate of $65/per person with early registration before February 13. Then it will increase to $90/per person. It is open to healthcare professionals only, including therapists. Limited to 8 people. Two spots left.
